Dentistry is one of Dr. Green’s special interests having been one of the first four veterinarians in Australia to be admitted to the College of Veterinary Scientists by examination in Veterinary Dentistry. We have all the equipment and expertise necessary to perform both standard dental procedures such as teeth scaling and polishing, as well as advanced procedures such as endodontics (root canal fillings) and orthodontics.

NURSE DENTALS

Recently we have introduced a new grading system for dental disease and have trained our nurses to do the scaling on routine, Grade 1 dentals. Grade 1 dental disease is where less than 25% of the teeth surfaces are covered in calculus (tartar) and there are no loose or broken teeth. This is the stage we like to do teeth scaling as there is generally no irreversible periodontal disease and by getting a vet nurse to do the scaling we have been able to offer these at half the cost of a standard teeth scale performed by a veterinary surgeon.
By acting sooner than later, you can save over $200 or even more as the cost of dealing with periodontal disease increases as the disease becomes more advanced.
